Devlog #5: Visual Improvements,
Hello, welcome to week 5 of development!
This week, we had our playtest with the TA, in which we received some very helpful comments about possible improvements we could make to the game. Mainly regarding the difficulty scaling and visual feedback, which was very underdeveloped.
So, we added new particle effects for parrying, as well as a trail effect behind the player that changes color and size depending on how on beat your movement is.

While we are pretty happy with the core gameplay, we are exploring other ways we can spice it up. For example, a new type of attack that must be interrupted by attacking the boss.

The model for the witch doctor player character is almost complete:

We also have an updated concept art for our vampire:

Some other things we worked on:
- More sound effects
- Improved attack patterns and difficulty scaling
- Improving MIDI system to be more in sync
- Working on UI
