The NEXUS Project is a social deduction game for 5-10 players based on the board game The Resistance: Avalon.
NEXUS Inc. is a company developing an ultra-powerful AI which will be used to better the lives of people around the world. However, they have enemies. In this hidden role game, you play as either an employee, who works towards securing the company's legacy, NEXUS itself, who must guide the employees towards success, or a saboteur who is intent on taking down the company.

The game consists of up to 5 projects. Each player will take turns selecting teams, consisting of a number of players to work on the project. If even one saboteur is on the team, the project could be doomed, so players with NEXUS must select and vote carefully.

The Company wins if 3 projects succeed, and the Saboteurs win if 3 projects fail. The Saboteurs can also win if they can correctly identify which player is NEXUS.

Made for the Superglue Games Social Deduction Game Jam. The theme was office. The setting for the game took inspiration from the idea of this office/corporate work life. Additionally, the UI is themed after office computer UI or materials.

Instructions

To get started, have one player create a room by pressing Host Game. Other players can then join by entering the room code.

Please have all players read all of the instructions before playing. The instructions can be opened at any time in the game using the Help button in the top right corner.

Known Issues

- Desyncs may occur during gameplay which can unfortunately cause soft locks. Please restart the game. It seems that keeping the game in focus (i.e. not using other windows or clicking away) seems to decrease the chances of this happening.

- Usernames may not load immediately for all players once joining a lobby. Please wait until all usernames have loaded for players before starting the game.
